Silas Choudhury
Silas Choudhury is a 2021 graduate of The New School, from Parsons School of Design for Fashion Design (BFA) and Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts for Psychology (BA). They also received their MA in Psychology from The New School for Social Research.
As both a designer and researcher, Silas investigates the social and cognitive paradigms of our designed world; why do we wear the clothing that we do, like the art that we do, and buy the products that we do? Fundamentally, they want to understand human interactions, and what draws people to certain designs and styles over others.
Silas is a member of the New School for Social Research’s Perception Lab, where they were awarded The New School’s Student Research Award Grant to undertake research on how visual culture, such as fashion, influences our perception.
